The volleyball players of the SG Mühlviertel Volleys made full use of their home advantage on Sunday. In the final round of the U18 state championship in the Perger Donauwell Arena, the Mühlviertler prevailed from a group of eight teams. The highlight was the strong performance in the final: Here the hosts defeated the Linz steel volleyball team. Like Linz-Steg, the Mühlviertel Volleys will represent our state at the Austrian Championships, which will be held in May.
But not only the boys of the Mühlviertel Volleys had reason to celebrate at the weekend: At the final tournament of the U18 girls held in Linz, the SG Mühlviertel Volleys also made it into the final. But there it was the end of the line against the local heroes from Linz-Steg with 1:3. As with the U20s, the women from the Mühlviertel won the vice national championship title.
