The Bad Goisern volunteer fire brigade is under a new command. At the annual general meeting, a new management team was elected, with Claus Ebner at the helm and Bernhard Musler as his deputy. The new secretary is Gerald Ebner and the treasurer is Klaus Pilz.
With the broad-based change in leadership, an era came to an end. Commander Günter Rainer, secretary Andreas Hippesroither and treasurer Harald Egger passed on their managerial and administrative tasks. Each of them has a 25-year tenure behind them. A period in which the Goiserer fire brigade completed 4182 calls.
In the course of the General Assembly, the year 2022 was also summed up. In 116 fire and technical operations, the spectrum ranged from a dangerous workshop fire with an exploded gas bottle, to forest fire operations, sometimes serious traffic accidents, oil spills, vehicle recovery and the rescue of people in a house fire. Only around a tenth of the 14,000 total hours were spent on operations, much more time was spent on ongoing training, maintenance and repair work, organization and administration and raising money for events (carnival, Krampus run, etc.). And all this is done by the fire brigade members on a voluntary basis and without payment.
