In what position was Uruguay in the world ranking of internet speed?

The country has risen 40 places in the last two years thanks to the implementation and improvements in the speed of the fiber optic network, while the auction for 5G is being prepared.

Antel improvements

As of February, Antel improved the download and upload speed for business and private customers within the fiber optic plan, at no cost and with different degrees of improvements.

For example, for residential customers with the “Basic Fiber” The speed increase in the descent was 300%, while the increase in speed was 50%. On the other hand, for the plan “Ultra Fiber” the increase in the descent reached 33% and in the rise it reached 400%.
