A 41-year-old car driver who was traveling on the B139 in the direction of Neuhofen an der Krems may have overlooked a motorcycle driver when turning left at the intersection with Grundstraße.
Although the driver had previously stopped his car to let an oncoming car pass, he may have noticed the following 23-year-old on his Yamaha too late – there was a collision.

The young biker slid about 30 meters along the side of the road due to the force of the collision before he came to rest on a footpath and cycle path. He suffered such serious injuries that he had to be taken to Kepler University Hospital by helicopter.
The driver survived the accident unharmed. In addition to the emergency doctor team, rescue and police, the Neuhofen and Kematen fire brigades were also deployed. They help to secure the scene of the accident and take over the clean-up work. The Kremstalstraße was difficult to pass between Neuhofen and Kematen for about an hour or temporarily closed.
