Dead woman recovered from the Enns

Ambulance, rescue, fire brigade and police were on duty on the banks of the Enns on Saturday morning: at the level of the local skate park near the Ennsbrücke in the border area with Lower Austria, witnesses discovered a person in the water around ten o’clock and sounded the alarm.

Resuscitation measures failed

The water rescue and fire brigade rescued the woman from the river, and the rescue workers immediately began resuscitation measures – in vain. Any help came too late for the woman, the emergency doctor could only determine her death.

mystery of identity

The case is a mystery to the police: late Saturday afternoon it was still unclear who the deceased was. Her age is estimated at 60 to 70 years. The body appeared to have no injuries and was probably in the water for a maximum of an hour.

There was no missing persons report. The investigation is ongoing.
