A visit to a friend in the municipality of Windhaag near Perg ended in the hospital for a young Mühlviertler on Saturday: The eleven-year-old from the Freistadt district was with his grandmother at around 3 p.m. in the garden of a 43-year-old friend. Also present was the man’s three-year-old dog, whom the child had known for a long time.
According to the police, the animal may have felt disturbed while eating, which is why it suddenly bit and caught the boy in the face. The student was injured so badly that he had to be taken to the Kepler University Hospital, the police said on Saturday afternoon.
