Violet. No color goes better with Provence, says Styrian Wolfgang Fuchs. However, this color can stand for lust for life and joie de vivre. The photographing traveler or traveling photographer – as you wish – had to rediscover them for themselves. He will also make this visible in Linz this week when he takes people to Provence in the new town hall on March 28 and expects a “nice sense of community” from it, as he says.
After 23 years, in which Fuchs was used to captivating many people with his multivision shows in sold-out event halls, the Corona period with its consequences and restrictions had shaken the “small family business” to its foundations.

“I felt that people were increasingly weaned from travel lectures and that we lost a certain part of the audience,” says Fuchs. Then he turned 60, which gave him sleepless neighbors as he watched his life’s work float away. But now the confidence has returned that, following the hit by Udo Jürgens, 60 years is far from over. Now he is following his calling again – and people can watch him.
