In an act before militants, the president of the Broad Front expressed confidence in the return of his party to power.
The president of the broad front (FA), Fernando Pereiraassured in the framework of the anniversary of the first mass act of the FA that his party “will rule again in 2025”. In his speech before militants, Pereira maintained that the President of the Republic, Luis Lacalle Poumaintains “a secret conviction that the FA will return to the government”.
Pereira’s words allude to the past sayings of Lacalle Pou at an event of the Marketing Managers Association (wdm), where he indicated that from the FA “They are hoping that the social security reform will be approved by us”, since in this way they would save the political cost of addressing this problem in a hypothetical future government.
For Pereira, the FA is not only “returning”, but “more and more compatriots take the step towards our ranks”, since “they regain confidence in our political project”, which knew how to “recompose itself modestly”.
The party leader remarked that the FA “is going to have more breadth”, where “by unity it will be diverse”, and that it is heading “in the construction of a new majority” because “Uruguayans fight and take to the streets”.

The leftist leader assured that “we have plenty of reasons to celebrate and to do so with full confidence that it is possible”, and that the Uruguayan people increasingly see, “with conviction”, a new triumph for the FA.
