A report relieved the 41-year-old. Since the public prosecutor’s office did not issue a statement, the acquittal is not yet final. Specifically, the accused is said to have turned on a faucet and a water outlet under a sink on a Friday, so that the water ran into several rooms and through several floors over the weekend.

Revenge as a motive?

The public prosecutor’s office identified a revenge action by the woman as the motive, since her trial contract as a cleaner had not been extended. But the accused said she wasn’t upset about it at all.

However, the evaluation of the key cards for the door locks in the castle, which houses the city government and part of the administration, showed that the accused was the last person to enter the premises from which the water damage originated. A total of eight cubic meters of water is said to have escaped.

Exculpatory Opinion

However, measurements have shown that water consumption only increased from 11 p.m. on Saturday, as a manager of the real estate company responsible for the building explained on the first day of the hearing. An expert report was therefore obtained, which led to the acquittal today.
