SAO PAULO, March 27 (Reuters) – Brazil’s state-owned Petrobras said there have been no changes to plans regarding its stake in Braskem, after being questioned by the petrochemical company about statements by its president to the press last week.

“Regarding the news reported in the media, Petrobras confirms that there has been no decision by the governing council or the board of directors regarding the Braskem divestment process,” the company said, according to a Braskem statement.

All actions related to Petrobras’ stake in the petrochemical producer “require careful analysis from a portfolio management standpoint and must be carried out in accordance with applicable governance practices and internal procedures,” Petrobras added. .
