After denying the accusations, Penadés made himself “available” to justice “for what it deems pertinent to do” and announced that it will initiate “corresponding legal actions against all active participants in these slander.”

Penadés denied the accusations of sexual abuse against him

In the last few hours, Celeste accused Penadés of having sexually abused her in at least twice when I was 13 years old, at which time she had not yet begun her transition as a trans woman. In addition, through her Twitter account, she published other anonymous accusations of more alleged victims of the senator.

In a press conference, the legislator, who assumed the presidency of Parlasur last December, replacing the Paraguayan Tomás Bittar, said he was “shocked”.

“You all know my sexual orientation, I have never cheated on it. I have never denied it. I am very proud of who I am. What I do not admit is that because I have my sexual orientation I can be accused of being a pedophile“, affirmed the legislator who, minutes before, had met with the Minister of the Interior, Luis Alberto Heber.

In turn, Penadés maintained that the sole purpose of the accusations is to submit him to “public ridicule” and warned: “I intend to go to the last consequences.”
