A 21-year-old from the Perg district drove his car on Pabneukirchner Straße in the direction of Perg at around 7:20 p.m. An eleven-year-old boy from the Urfahr area was in the passenger seat. In the municipal area of Pabneukirchen, the young driver with his car got into the oncoming lane in a right turn. There the car crashed into the oncoming vehicle of a 54-year-old from the Zwettl district, in which a 43-year-old, a 15-year-old, a 16-year-old and a 39-year-old were also sitting.
The 54-year-old’s car was thrown onto an embankment, and the 21-year-old’s car came to a standstill on the road. With the exception of the 54-year-old, everyone involved in the accident was injured to an undetermined degree. They were taken to the Amstetten State Hospital, the Kepler University Hospital and the Linz Children’s Hospital.
