Leonhard Zaunbauer from the Pyrawang fire department had the honor of being the 14,000th participant from the region in the knowledge test for young firefighters. The aim is to provide basic information about firefighting.
The topics range from extinguishing devices, water-bearing fittings, dangerous substances and communication to theoretical questions about the fire brigade. The young people also learn first-aid measures, traffic issues and knots. 392 “rescuers of tomorrow” took part in this year’s knowledge test of the fire brigade youth of the Ried district in St. Martin.
