The Startklar initiative of Sparkasse Mühlviertel West is entering the home straight. In the final there are still three applications in the running for the prize money of 10,000 euros. All finalists try to collect votes in online voting until April 9th.
From more than 40 project ideas that were submitted for the competition, three groups made it to the final and were able to present their projects to the jury members.
With the Project “Snack Happiness” the Arcus social network would like to offer the perfect snack as a varied alternative for students and teachers in schools. The focus is on offering a healthy, regional break meal that also promotes inclusion. This is made possible by an uncomplicated meeting of students and people with disabilities.
The Association Waldwichterl has set itself the task of setting up a forest kindergarten in Putzleinsdorf. At a time when digitization and mechanization are increasing rapidly, it should not and must not be forgotten that a relationship with nature is a cornerstone of healthy human development.
School project “Heart”
The program “brave” aims to strengthen the health literacy of children in elementary schools. In various modules, on the one hand, knowledge about the prevention of cardiovascular diseases and the strengthening of resistance is imparted, on the other hand, courageous intervention and help in emergencies is trained. In addition, children acquire skills that make them more resilient to stress. The regular training for health promotion should be permanently integrated into the everyday school life of the participating schools.
Vote until April 9th
The voting on the SMW social media channels also started with the live presentations. Voting by “liking” the videos is possible up to and including April 9th. The online vote is included in the jury’s assessment with a weighting of 25 percent. The decision on the winning project will be made on April 11, 2023.
Special award to Aqua Sharks
The SMW has already awarded a special prize for a project to promote youth and young talent: The Aqua Sharks from Sportunion Rohrbach-Berg won the prize money of 2000 euros. The financial support is used to buy new swimming gear for baby and children’s swimming courses.
