Last year, workers in the Vöcklabruck district turned to the Chamber of Labor for help 7,695 times. In the case of many labor law problems, advice was not enough, and the AK often had to intervene in companies. Out of court, AK Vöcklabruck brought in 639,144 euros in withheld payment in 199 cases last year. However, some employers took it to court. The AK had to go before the labor court on behalf of its members in 75 cases. She fought for 209,304 euros. “Of the total of 274 cases, the vast majority come from companies without a works council,” says AK district office manager Michael Weidinger. “This shows once again how important a company interest group is for correct payment and compliance with labor law.”

In social law matters (pension, care allowance), the AK Vöcklabruck won around six million for its members last year. If you add insolvency claims, the AK fought for a total of 7.7 million euros in the district.
