The astonishment of a hiker who recently marched to the Lord God’s seat in Schönau im Mühlkreis (district of Freistadt) was great. A sign posted next to the trail warned of wolves. “Danger! Wolf home range – supervise children – enter at your own risk”, is written on it. Another note says “Wolf Restricted Area”. It is also in small letters “the neighbours” to read. That is the enigma about them “originator” the sign solved. When asked by OÖN, the mayor of Schönau announced that the farmer’s neighbors were playing an April Fool’s joke. Because he should have seen a wolf more than once.
