After the killing of a 60-year-old on Monday in a terraced house in Strasshof an der Nordbahn (Gänserndorf district), the accused 27-year-old son confessed to his questioning. Gudrun Bischof, media spokeswoman for the Korneuburg public prosecutor’s office, said on Thursday that he cited differences of opinion and different world views as the motive for the knife attacks on his mother and stepfather (70). The man was taken into custody on Wednesday. Investigated on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
Stepfather not able to be questioned
The accused’s stepfather was still unable to be questioned. According to Bischof, the 70-year-old was still receiving intensive care. He had been flown to the University Hospital in St. Pölten on Monday morning. The alleged perpetrator attempted suicide. He was also badly injured.
