The Wels public prosecutor’s office has started investigations, confirmed this on Saturday by the APA media report.
Two of the women are said to have confided in a supervisor of their residential group in mid-March because the suspect touched them unpleasantly, the newspaper reports from a written statement by the operator of the facility. After the allegations had been “very clearly” confirmed, the employment relationship was terminated with immediate effect and an ad was initiated, it said.
The accused is said to have confessed in part and admitted to having touched a third resident intimately. According to a spokeswoman, the public prosecutor’s office in Wels has initiated investigations into suspected sexual abuse of a defenseless or mentally handicapped person and abuse of a relationship of authority.
