Several Easter fires lit too early

The Großlobming fire brigade (Murtal district) was alerted shortly before 3 a.m.: An Easter fire prepared for Holy Saturday began to burn. The 20 firefighters were busy for two hours until the operation was over, the fire department said.

In the community of Ruden (Völkermarkt district), two Easter heaps were set on fire by unknown perpetrators on Saturday night, according to police information, two fire brigades with a total of 40 firefighters were on duty. An Easter heap on the Zuge Alm near Klagenfurt was even set on fire with Molotov cocktails, the Klagenfurt professional fire brigade and the Kalvarienberg volunteer fire brigade extinguished the fire. And also in Steindorf (district of Feldkirchen) a part of an Easter heap went up in flames, but the fire was extinguished before it could spread.
