The president of the National Party department in Montevideo continues to work on building a “very broad movement” for the 2024 elections.

“I am in a stage of listening to people a lot,” said the economist who seeks to establish herself as referent of blacksmithing and for several months he has had meetings with different political actors from various sectors of the PN. In this sense, he pointed out that he seeks to “build a very broad movement, which is very comprehensive, which has representation of people from the metropolitan area and also from the interiorfrom different currents of the party, from Herrerismo, from Wilsonismo”.


During his visit to the Sanducero property where the 56th edition of Beer Week —in the framework of the Tourism Week throughout the country—, Raffo met with Jorge Larranaga VidalMember of National Alliance and son of the former senator and mayor Jorge Larranaga; with the mayor of Paysandú, Nicholas Olivera; and with the nationalist senator Carlos Camy.
A movement “with those who get close”
After pointing out that she is “advancing a lot” with various colleagues, the former candidate for the Municipality of Montevideo pointed out that “here in Paysandú we talk a lot with Alianza, of course”, although she insisted that the idea is to build a “very comprehensive” movement that “represent what the people need, because that is the answer that political movements have to give to the people, they do not have to be built for power itself, but to give answers to the needs of the people.”
“We are in talks, we have a very good relationship with the Alianza comrades, and with those from Herrerismo too, so we are going to be building a space little by little, with those who come closer, but We don’t have any official announcements to make yet.These are conversations that are on the right track, that make us very happy”, Raffo clarified.
The president of the capital department also stressed that, when forming her movement, it is necessary to “think of a common vision in principles that we all follow and that guide us to the north, which has to be to give people more well-being.”
