Four people were killed and nine others were injured. in a avalanche southwest of Mont Blanc, in the French Alps, Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin reported on Sunday.

President Emmanuel Macron wrote on Twitter that rescue services were still looking for more victims and that his thoughts were with the victims and their families.

Deployment of troops to search for survivors
