It is not only decided about the technical processing or the type of counting, but also who is allowed to take part in the member survey from April 24th to May 10th. Too many of the original 73 applicants should not have survived. The hurdle of 30 declarations of support was obviously too high for newcomers and fun candidates. So far, only the three who have realistic chances of submitting have announced the submission: incumbent Pamela Rendi-Wagner, the Burgenland governor Hans Peter Doskozil and Traiskirchner Mayor Andreas Babler.
While the two candidates are in election campaign mode – Babler will start his tour in Steyr on Tuesday – Rendi-Wagner is acting more cautiously. It is said from those around her that she prefers to concentrate on her task as party and club leader.
