Officers from Tumeltsham Police Inspectorate checked a 49-year-old Georgian driver on the A8 at a motorway service area in Suben municipality around 11pm yesterday evening. He had entered Germany with a car that was not registered for traffic.

On the back seat was a 56-year-old compatriot. The 49-year-old handed the officials an original Dutch vehicle export license. It was determined that the document was a forgery. The document was therefore seized.

When examining the Georgian passports, it was also found that both persons had exceeded the permitted 90-day period and were therefore illegally staying in the Schengen area. Both were arrested under the provisions of the Aliens Police Act.
