At the start were equestrian athletes from eight nations, the Germans Alexandra Eiband and Sönke Kohrock won the main competitions. Four members of the RC Hofinger team were also placed.
59 competitions on four tournament grounds
59 competitions were held in parallel on four tournament grounds, the highlights were the Prix St. Georges (dressage) and the Grand Prix of Ranshofen (jumping). A total of six placements were achieved by the RC Hofinger team riders on the second weekend of the tournament.
Katharina Floth and her black mare Liza Minelli, bred in Hanover, placed fourth in the advanced level dressage test on Friday. Nadine Schmidbauer finished seventh in the A-level dressage test on Friday. Lena Pelikan took second place with Cheeky K in the dressage rider test on Sunday. Lena Pelikan was also successful in the show jumping course with her second horse Soraya and took two first places in the two preliminary jumping tests over 80 and 90 cm on Friday. Ellen Hayd started with Elton in the standard jumping competition over 115 cm on Sunday. With a flawless ride, she finished the competition in fourth place.
Countdown to the final
This weekend, the RC Hofinger is entering the final round of the spring series: the Ranshofen Masters from April 14th to 16th will mark the end of the first Ranshofen tournament series of the year. The Grand Prix Special, the final of the Dressage Tour and the Grand Prix (standard jumping test 150 cm with jump-off) in show-jumping have been announced as highlights.
The effort is considerable: by the first tournament weekend, the team around organizer Josef Hofinger had not only optimally prepared the three tournament grounds. 320 permanently roofed tournament boxes were also prepared for the accommodation of the horses. In addition, the organizing team set up almost 130 tent boxes.
