At least six prisoners they appeared this wednesday hanged in a jail from the Ecuadorian city of Guayaquil, which records the worst prison massacres in the countrywhipped by a wave of violencethe authorities reported.
The prison guards found “to six people deprived of liberty suspended”reported the National Comprehensive Care Service for Adults Deprived of Liberty and Adolescent Offenders (SNAI)in charge of managing prisons in Ecuador.
The agency specified that the bodies were found in the Hall 5 of the prison known as Litoral Penitentiarywhich houses some 6,800 prisoners and is part of a large prison complexbut offered no other details regarding the deaths, the AFP news agency reported.
The Litoral Penitentiarylocated in the Guayas Prison Complexis considered one of the most violent prisons in the country.
