ICT sector exports grew 20% year-on-year

ICT sector exports grew by 20% up to a total of 1,172 million dollars, where 959 million were from the computer software & ITO sector, while 213 million dollars contributed from telecommunications. In turn, the ICT sector represented 22% of exports of services from the Uruguay.

Sales of business services had a year-on-year rise of 13%, reaching a total of 1,272 million dollars, representing 23% of service exports. For their part, financial services increased slightly by 5% after exporting 325 million dollars and representing 6% of total services sold.
