The LASK has long since become a model student in the licensing process. As in previous years, the athletes received the “Pickerl” for the 2023/24 season in the first instance, and the LASK Amateure OÖ would also be admitted to the 2nd league if they were promoted from the regional league.

This time, however, the people of Linz were given an additional task: Senate 5 demanded “updated, future-oriented financial information” from the athletes. In addition to the annual financial statements, LASK should also present a budget in autumn 2023 for the 2023/24 season. The submission of a budget in spring is no longer a license criterion for clubs with a stable financial and earnings situation since this season, which is why LASK did not have to submit itsaid the club and explained the condition: “The Senate 5 considers a submission in the course of the coming season to be sensible in this case in view of the stadium construction.”

Second division club FAC Wien, which has no realistic chance of promotion, would have to submit updated financial information for the Bundesliga license, just like Dornbirn for second division admission.
