The head of government of the City of Buenos Aires inaugurated a bust of the Uruguayan politician together with former president Luis Alberto Lacalle Herrera.
Luis Alberto de Herrera was honored by the government of the Buenos aires city this Thursday, an event in which his grandson and former president, Luis Alberto Lacalle Herrerawith the aim of highlighting his work and political legacy.
The historical figure of National Party was honored at the Uruguay Square with a bust donated by the former president and father of the current president Luis Lacalle Pou. During the ceremony, the head of Government of the City of Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodriguez Larretastressed the importance and need to maintain the legacy of the River Plate leaders.
“Our countries share strong ties of brotherhood, marked by a common culture and idiosyncrasy. For this reason, it is very important for us to recognize Luis Alberto de Herrera, whose legacy continues to this day, with a president like Luis Lacalle Pou, whose primary objective is the development of his country and the progress of all Uruguayans.” , indicated Rodríguez Larreta.

Luis Alberto de Herrera, deceased in 1959served as a deputy and senator in Uruguay for several decades and was a central figure in the National Party for more than 50 years.
