Germany begins the path to legalize its consumption

The Ministers of Agriculture and Health of GermanyCem Ozdemir and Karl Lauterbach, reported that they are on their way so that the recreational use of cannabis is legal in the country by the end of 2023. The announcement was made in the framework of a press conference to present his plans for a partial legalization of marijuana.

The bill plans to legalize owning a maximum of 25 grams of marijuana per purchase and no more than 50 grams per monthfor him consumption for recreational purposes from the age of 21. This will allow the private cultivation and distribution through non-profit groups, but no general sale of cannabis.

Regions will be established later for pilot direct selling in specialized and licensed retailers. The goal of the new limitations is to make cannabis use safer.
