This is the result of a survey by the Dortmund consulting and IT service company adesso. 500 executives in companies with at least 250 employees were surveyed.
ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence (AI)-based chatbot that can find problems in software code, write blog posts, or turn long texts into short summaries. More than 100 million people use the system.
71 percent of those surveyed rated the system as “good” or “very good” in terms of performance. Twenty-two percent consider it satisfactory, six percent adequate, and one percent deficient. “Those responsible are downright euphoric. Once the AI applications have overcome their teething problems, there are hardly any limits to the application scenarios,” says Benedikt Bonnmann, Data Manager at adesso.
Alternative demanded from Europe
Half of the respondents can imagine integrating ChatGPT directly into their own processes. Application scenarios are research tasks, content for internal communication, data analysis and content for websites or mailings. However, 62 percent of company leaders still see the final decision in AI-supported processes in the hands of people. And 55 percent would like a European alternative to ChatGPT, which comes from the USA.
