After Atto 3, Han and Tang, there is now the compact hatchback Dolphin (German: Delfin) and the sporty sedan Seal (German: Robbe). Both vehicles are equipped with cobalt and nickel-free lithium iron phosphate batteries (BYD blade battery). In the 4.30 meter long Dolphin, the battery stores 60 kWh, and BYD specifies the range as 427 kilometers. With a torque of 209 Nm, the electric motor delivers 150 kW (204 hp). The zero to 100 sprint is done in 7 seconds, at 160 km/h it is limited. The charging power is 11 or 88 kW. The vehicle-to-load function (V2L) is standard on board.

The 4.80 meter long Seal comes as an all-wheel drive with 390 kW (530 hp) and as a rear-wheel drive with 230 kW (313 hp). With an 82 kWh battery, the “seals” manage 520 or 570 kilometers with one charge. BYD mentions 11 or 150 kW as the charging capacity.
The Dolphin is expected in the third quarter and the Seal in the fourth quarter. If you pay 1000 euros, you can pre-order the models now. The starting prices are not yet known.
