In Styria, a gas station was attacked for the second time in around 24 hours on Friday evening. This time the deed happened in Weiz. A masked man entered the gas station and pretended to buy a beer. Suddenly he threatened the two employees with a gun and demanded money. He was then able to escape on foot. The police suspected a connection with a very similar act on Thursday evening. In both cases, a masked man entered the store and took groceries from the shelves. When paying, he suddenly pulled out a pistol and demanded money. Both times he put a cloth bag he had brought with him on the counter, took the cash and the goods and fled on foot. The employees were not injured, but had to be given psychological care.

The unknown perpetrator had a slim build, was between 20 and 50 years old, about 1.75 to 1.80 meters tall and spoke German without a recognizable foreign accent. He wore a gray hooded jacket with black inserts, black sweatpants, gray gloves and black shoes with white soles. He was masked with a black cloth, which he pulled up over his mouth and nose.
