The German prevailed as the fastest in the jump-off against five competitors. Local hero Max Kühner had two penalties before that.

As the rain eased on Sunday, the final Grand Prix could be moved outside – which was important because that’s when it counts towards Olympic qualification.

From Friday to Sunday noon, the competitions were moved indoors. And that at very short notice, as Lisa Janout explains: “Everyone lent a hand, from the employees to the cameramen and even riders, to make the hall suitable for competitions within two hours,” says the spokeswoman for the Linz Horse Festival.
