According to a report from the Electronic Stock Exchange of Uruguay (Bevsa), the amount operated during the month of March constitutes a new record in the last decade. The volume transacted reached 7,209.7 million dollarsmeaning a shot of 27.8% compared to 5,640.5 million dollars in the month of February, and an increase of 62.2% year-on-year compared to 4,445.4 million dollars in March 2022.

Of the total operated, the Stock Market concentrated 68.1% of the volume until reaching 4,907.2 million dollars. This is followed by Money market with 24.1% (1,740.4 million dollars), and the 562.1 million dollars transacted in the Exchange Market they completed the remaining 7.8%.


The Stock Market had its best mark since December 2018
The increase in the amount was driven by a Stock Market that registered his best mark since December 2018, and it was 52.1% higher than the 3,226.8 million dollars of the previous month. In the year-on-year comparison, there was a marked increase of 96.5% compared to the 2,497.3 million dollars traded in March 2022.

The movements in the Primary managed to register some 3,506.3 million dollars, and increased by 46.9% compared to the month of Februaryagain a high since December 2018. In the breakdown, the CD in National Currency it meant 47.5% of the operation; he CD in Dollar 47.2%; the CD in Indexed Units (UI) 3.7%, and the placement of financial trusts 1.6%.
In this primary market an increase of 182% was highlighted in the operations of CD Dólar during the month of March, registering a volume of 1,655.6 million dollars, 1,070 million dollars more than the end of February.
On the Secondary Market side, an amount of 1,490.9 million dollars was operated, showing a month-on-month increase of 66.8% compared to the previous month, which was 840 million dollars, and reaching the top of records since January of 2019. The operation of Letters of Monetary Regulation concentrated 94.2% of the total.
