The National Agency for Innovation and Research (ANII) reported that the Clemente Estable and María Viñas funds will allocate up to 1.9 million pesos (almost $49,000) to finance basic and applied research projects. The projects must be completed in a period not exceeding three years, with the addition that the projects of the Maria Viñas Fund that have financial contributions from a company or organization may access an additional amount of 380,000 pesos.
The calls of this 2023 call They have brought some novelties, since topics such as access to open data of scientific information, climate change and the gender perspective were incorporated.
From the Stable Clement Fund, ANII is in charge of financing basic research projects, which seek to generate new knowledge for the country. While on the side of the María Viñas Fund, it seeks to finance those of applied research, which try to solve practical problems.
