The Conaprole union aggravated the measures by extending the strike to all plants, except Rodríguez’s.
The Association of Workers and Employees of Conaprole (AOEC) extended the measures of force to all plants, which would cause a shortage of milk derivatives in the country; the vice president of Conaprole described the union struggle as “irrational”.

According to a statement from the AOEC, the management of Conaprole did not respect the meetings that are being carried out with the Ministry of Labor and that the situation did not change since they are keeping the workers “at order without being able to carry out their work activities”. The measures taken began this Tuesday and are planned continue until thursday at night. The union resolved that the workers do two hour strikes per day in all plants in the country.

In conversation with the Telenoche news, the leader of AOEC, Luis Goichea, He explained that they are going to carry out a strike of “four hours per worker in the two days, that is, two hours per day, in the rest of the plants, except Rodriguez, so that it can recover what has been all this affectation of unemployment that has led to a very important delay in the collection of milk”.
The leader explained that products derived from milk are the ones that will be most affected in their supply. “We are always going to guarantee that fresh milk reaches the population, but the rest of the products is where it will be affected the most.”
As for the rumor that there were dairy farms where milk had been spilled due to union delays, Goichea denied it. “There has been no loss of raw material, there has been no loss for the producers, yes we are going to begin to apply measures to affect the domestic market where we know that Conaprole will generate an extra cost and we, to the extent that we are doing the strike, are investing with our salary to solve this issue,” he remarked.
An “irrational” conflict
The Vice President of Conaprole, Alexander Perez, He referred to the conflict with the union and described it as “irrational” since he considers that the changes in the machinery do not affect the workers. “No job lossesthere are no loss of wages, no loss of labor rights,” he said.
On the other hand, he confirmed that the strike at all the plants could generate shortages in milk derivatives and, unlike the union leader, he said that there are producers who had to throw away fresh milk due to the measures of force.
