Union unrest spreads across the country

The national government is going through a moment of high union conflictin parallel with the conflicts that must be managed within the coalition for different interests in projects such as the social security reform and shared ownership.

The National Cooperative of Milk Producers (Conaprole) is undergoing measures of force by the Association of Workers and Employees of Conaprole (AOEC) that decided to extend the stoppages to all the plants, except for Rodríguez’s, causing two hours of cessation of activities until Thursday.

Added to the conflict are the declarations of the cooperative authorities that establish that the producers had to throw away milk due to delays caused by union strikes, a situation that is denied by the unions.

The conflict arose last week when the board of directors decided to introduce changes in production that were going to be consulted with the union. The company acquired a new milk packaging machine that packages 15,000 liters per hourin front of two machines that pack 6,000 liters per hour and it takes two shifts to finish the job.
