A double sporting anniversary is celebrated in Pichl. On Saturday, April 29th, the 20th edition of the Innbachtallauf takes place and the Pichler Lauftreff celebrates its 10th anniversary.
In the past two decades, the Innbachtallauf has developed from a community run to a nationally popular running event that is part of the Traunviertler Laufcup. The main run (start: 3.30 p.m.) is over 8 kilometers, the Pichler local championship will also be held again. Pleasure runners and beginner runners tackle the 5.4-kilometer route of the hobby run. There will also be a guided Nordic walking tour again. In order to promote young runners, participation for children and schoolchildren is free of charge. A full starter bag awaits all runners, and there is a fruit and cake buffet for refreshment. You can also win prizes in the starting number raffle.
The running club Pichl under chairman Franz Malzer was created in 2013 and was then brought to life by the cultural committee of the market community, in 2019 an independent running club was founded. The runners with their orange outfit regularly take part in various competitions in Upper Austria.
