The parliamentary commission will propose to block Bolsonaro on social networks to stop fake news

This proposal arose after the president released false news about vaccines, for which this video was removed from Facebook, Instagram and Youtube.

“We are going to present a precautionary request to the STF so that the president retracts (sayings about vaccines) under penalty of being charged a fine of 50,000 reais a day (9,000 dollars) and that he is excluded from social networks,” said Senator Randolfe Rodrigues, vice president of the ICC.

The presentation “for the crime of fake news” will be made before the judge Alexandre from Moraes, which is leading the case about fake news in the STF.

The senator Renan gutters, Rapporteur of the ICC, will present the report of more than a thousand pages in which Bolsonaro and 75 other people will be denounced, including his three children.

This week the leadership of the ICC decided to add ten new defendants to the list that was presented seven days ago.

The commission softened the charges against Bolsonaro, excluding the crimes of genocide and homicide, which was seen as a gesture of concord towards the president at the worst moment of his government.

But Bolsonaro’s attack on Calheiros after the presentation of the report broke that weak tune.
