The Upper Austrian was busy dismantling a steel framework at a height of around ten to 15 meters and was standing on a lifting platform. His colleague controls the crane from the ground. For reasons that are still unknown, a steel girder suddenly fell and tore the lifting platform down about ten meters.
The worker had to be flown to the Salzburg University Hospital in a rescue helicopter. The labor inspectorate has been called in and is now supposed to examine how the accident happened.
