The 65-year-old was officially adopted at a staff party in the Kürnberghalle. Stelzer surprised the longtime managing director with the Silver Medal of Honor of the State of Upper Austria. Labor Minister Martin Kocher also took the time to thank Straßer.
In 1978 Straßer moved to what was then the employment office in Ried. With the spin-off of the office from the direct federal administration in 1994, he became the regional manager and the face of the AMS in Ried. In 2010 he was promoted to deputy state manager, since 2016 his father and grandfather have been managing directors.
