A 43-year-old driver from Ried died in a traffic accident between Lohnsburg and St. Johann am Walde (Ried district) on Friday afternoon. According to initial information from the emergency services, the vehicle crashed head-on into the pillar of an overpass on the Kobernausser Landesstraße in a curve.
The emergency services were alerted around 4:10 p.m. The volunteer fire brigades Frauschereck, Kobernexternal and Waldzell were quickly on the spot to recover the demolished car. An emergency medical team tried to revive the seriously injured woman, but in the end could only determine the driver’s death.
