He Ministry of Public Health (MSP) reported this Friday the detection of new cases of people with the chikungunya virus in the city of Paysandu. Prevention measures against chikungunya

What are the symptoms of chikungunya and what should I do if I have them?

The main symptom is fever, but they can also be severe joint pain, muscle pain, headaches, nausea, tiredness and skin rashes.

In case of presenting these symptoms, the Ministry of Health recommends consulting a doctor at your health provider. “Currently there is no vaccine or specific treatment. Treatment is based on relieving symptoms. In most cases, it consists of controlling pain and fever and does not require hospitalization,” says the portfolio.
