A gastro area, a quiet zone, a gym and offices for a variable and flexible way of working: As reported, the Linz-based software company MIC is building a new, five-story office building on Lederergasse. Yesterday, Friday, the ground-breaking ceremony for the building took place in the presence of Linz Mayor Klaus Luger and Planning Councilor Dietmar Prammer.
According to company boss Alfred Hiebl, the topics of energy efficiency and sustainability play a major role in the construction: the roof will be greened, a photovoltaic system is planned. The two-storey underground car park will be equipped with e-charging stations. Since MIC employees can work up to 50 percent of their working hours from home, there are no permanently assigned workplaces.
MIC is a provider of customs and export control software solutions. There are locations on three continents, the majority of the 500 employees work in Linz. Sales in 2022 were 60 million euros. According to the company, the annual growth rate is 15 percent.
