What is a flambé dish

The flambé is called a culinary technique that consists of flaming the ingredients thanks to the use of specific liquors and the open fire.

The term, of French origin, means “flame” and specifically indicates the way to cook the different ingredients through a flame very powerful and high, which must be handled with extreme caution and professionalism in order to obtain results without any risk.

The flambé cuisine has its origin in Arabia during XIV century and it took more than 100 years to land in Europe and become, to this day, a custom.
