Elfyn Evans celebrated his first success in 18 months at the World Rally Championship round in Croatia. The Welshman’s joy was very restrained, after all Irish driver Craig Breen had a fatal accident last week.
“We’ve been working towards this for a long time,” Evans said of his win, “but right now it all feels so insignificant.” Evans, whose Toyota has Breen’s name written on it, now shares the championship lead with Sebastien Ogier.
