The ground-breaking ceremony for the new market place took place in Bad Goisern these days. The construction work is expected to be completed by the end of the summer.
The new concept provides, among other things, water features that invite you to linger and relax. The areas will also be partially landscaped and planted with shady trees, and traffic will be calmed. “Pedestrians and cyclists will feel safer in the future,” announces Mayor Leopold Schilcher (SPÖ).
The market town is investing a total of 1.4 million euros in its new market place. The state government will assume 48 percent of the costs – also in connection with the European Capital of Culture 2024.
