It was 3.30 a.m., after the tent festival in Wildenau there was a spirit of optimism. Among the last visitors was a 25-year-old from the Innviertel region, who must have drunk well beyond his thirst during the “Bierzeltgaudi”. With the “Gaudi” it was over for him. When leaving the festival grounds, he behaved aggressively towards other Festl visitors. Police officers reprimanded him for accusing and pushing her around.

Massive resistance

The drunk from the Ried district was not insightful. On the contrary: a little later he wanted to hit a man. The officials prevented this by pulling the young Innviertler aside. The arrest turned out to be a difficult task. The 25-year-old resisted violently, kept breaking free and pushed the police away. “He and the officers fell several times,” says the report from the State Police Directorate.

Friends interfered with arrest

After several attempts, the handcuffs finally clicked. Then the friends of the 25-year-old caused problems. They tried to disrupt the arrest, which is why other police officers had to intervene. Two police officers suffered minor injuries and later sought medical attention. The arrested person was also examined at the Aspach police station. He was reported at large.
