The man is said to have entered the office the night before. He was spotted by a neighbor who immediately called the police. The 58-year-old was arrested. He cited money problems as a motive. Tools, gloves and a wool cap were secured.
The police had already assumed that they would probably still find the burglar at the crime scene. “Therefore, a police service dog and officials from WEGA were used to browse or to search for the suspect,” said police spokesman Philipp Haßlinger. “The service dog found the suspect under a desk. Since he didn’t follow the officials’ instructions, WEGA officials secured the man.” He was arrested without resistance.
