Traffic accident on the Schörflinger Bundesstrasse Image: KALTLENLEITNER MATTHIAS (KALTLENLEITNER MATTHIAS)
A 58-year-old driver from Schörfling drove around 10:30 p.m. on the Schörflinger Landesstraße in the direction of her home community. At the same time, a 34-year-old driver from Aurach am Hongar (district Vöcklabruck) drove her car in the opposite direction. The two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason. Both drivers were trapped in the cars and had to be freed from the vehicles by the fire brigade using rescue shears.
Both drivers were taken to hospital with serious injuries. Both cars were totaled. The scene of the accident was closed to all traffic for three hours.
